about

I was going for a Mexican sound with trumpets and violins and a bit of Mariachi, but I ended up with this. This is what demos are for... finding out where it should go. Not sure if it worked, or didn't, but tabla rasa is cleaning the slate.

lyrics

With gaily bedight,
An old gallant knight,
In sunshine and in shadow,
Had journeyed long,
Singing a song,
In search of Eldorado.

But soon he grew old—
This knight oh so bold—
And o’er his heart a shadow—
Fell as he found
No spot of ground
That looked like Eldorado.

And, then as his strength
Had failed him at length,
He met a pilgrim shadow—
‘Shadow,’ said he,
‘Where can it be—
This land of Eldorado?’

‘Over the Mountains
Of the Moon,
Down the Valley of the Shadow,
Ride, boldly ride,’
The shade it replied,—
‘If you seek for Eldorado!’
