Dr John was one of the last people to visit my late mentor Merl Saunders in his hospital room before he passed. It meant a lot to him, and it meant a lot to me. I always loved the good Dr, and this was the 50th anniversary of one of his songs that has always topped my list for covering. So, we did. It was huge fun, and a bunch of great musicians on this!
